## Scientific Objectives & Scope
1. Advance multi-scale measurement and modeling of greenhouse gas fluxes (CO2, CH4, N2O) in hemiboreal and tropical wetland forests.
2. Quantify the carbon sink capacity of pristine versus drained and restored peatland forest ecosystems.
3. Establish international collaborative research infrastructure linking hemiboreal peatlands in Estonia with tropical peatlands in the Peruvian Amazon and Malaysian Borneo.
4. Foster knowledge exchange through open-access databases, educational MOOC modules, international summer schools, and academic exchanges.
