In March 2023, the first scouting expeditions to Iquitos, Peru took place. Teams from the University of Tartu (Estonia), Peruvian Amazon Research Institute (IIAP), National University of the Peruvian Amazon (UNAP), and Sarawak Tropical Peat Research Institute (TROPI, Malaysia) collaborated in a scientific seminar.
