During a recent study visit, PhD student Fahad Ali Kazmi (University of Tartu) joined the international research team at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology to explore innovative approaches in soil and plant science. To prepare for the complex Sarawak October 2024 visit, two UT team members Drs. Kaido Soosaar and Kuno Kasak provided measurement and teaching activities in both Maludam forest and Betong oil palm plantation. In Maludam, soil sampling and portable laser analyser-based gas measurements from soil and tree stems were conducted.
