PhD student Reti Ranniku (University of Tartu) recently visited the University of Helsinki. Key activities included developing and testing a novel closed-loop system for small-volume gas sampling with LI-COR 7810 and 7820 greenhouse gas analyzers, training for incubation studies, and preparing for the upcoming Peruvian expedition. The exchange also featured hands-on calibration work at the Finnish Meteorological Institute, incubation experiments with plant samples, and knowledge-sharing meetings. Networking was an essential component, complemented by presentations on PhD research and participation in academic events. The visit successfully achieved its goals, fostering technical innovation and mutual understanding between the teams.
